Irish garden furniture business suffers huge fire

Irish garden and outdoor furniture manufacturer, Culcita, has suffered a large fire at its factory in New Ross, Co Wexford.

The blaze at the manufacturing plant broke out around 10:30am on 25 March 2023.

Wexford’s fire service attended the scene alongside crews from Enniscorthy and Waterford. High reach units and water tankers were also dispatched to bring the fire under control.

One roof at the factory has collapsed, with the premises suffering severe damage. The fire was brought under control around 2pm. No injuries were reported.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
