Help for Heroes Big Battlefield Bike Ride

Help for Heroes, the UK’s leading Armed Forces & military veterans’ charity have organised the Big Battlefield Bike Ride to commemorate the D-Day 80th Anniversary and Armed Forces Day, and to raise funds for the charity.

The 400km 4-day ride will take place from 24 to 29 June, finishing in Paris on Armed Forces Day.

Gallery Direct’s James Hudson has signed up for the ride and has launched a fund-raising campaign, aiming to raise over £3000 for Help for Heroes. James is paying all his own travel and admin costs so 100% of the donations he receives will go directly to the charity, to help veterans and their families.

To make donation, visit James’ JustGiving page, www.justgiving.com/page/james-hudson-bikeride. Any money raised for the Heroes who have given so much for our country will be greatly appreciated.

This amazing charity is close to James’ heart. During his 41 years in the furniture industry, he has spent 27 years as a member of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers, who support the Military and particularly 2 Rifles Battalion.

James also spent seven years as part of the 5th Battalion Royal Green Jackets Reserves, so doing this ride on the 80th anniversary of D Day means a lot to him, and he will be extremely grateful for any donations received from our wonderful industry.
