High street retailer Marks & Spencer has announced the appointment of Marsha Smith as its new Director of the West Division.

Marsha is expected to join M&S in September and moves from IKEA where she held the position of UK and Ireland Country Deputy Retail Manager.

Having spent three years at the Swedish furniture retailer, Marsha was involved in IKEA’s expansion drive into new markets as part of its retail transformation strategy, as well as leading its Canadian division.

Marsha said she was “thrilled” to join M&S, a brand she has “always felt a strong affinity for”. She will play a key role in continued transformation at M&S moving forward.
