Furniture manufacturer Leisure Furnishings has reported a growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2023, total sales rose 10.9% to £18.3m from £16.5m, further adding to its growth of 35% from £12.2m in 2021.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £992,000, up 83% from £542,000 recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Turnover has increased by £1.8m after what has been a challenging but successful year. There continued to be issues with our supply chain, and that of our customers, which has had a knock-on effect.

“There were regular price increases throughout the financial year, across most of our commodities, including foam and a chassis shortage across the industry. This started to settle down towards the end of the year.”
