Danish furniture retailer JYSK has confirmed plans to close its Chesterfield store.

Situated at Markham Retail Park, JYSK revealed that it will close the store on 11 August 2024 after deciding not to renew its lease at the location.

Ahead of the closure, JYSK is opening a new store on Queen’s Road Retail Park in Sheffield, which is expected to officially open on 11 July.

The retailer has not ruled out returning to Chesterfield in the future, and will “continue to look” for suitable spaces or opportunities as part of its wider UK expansion plan.
