Sales remain strong at specialist furniture group

Office, hospitality, healthcare and home furniture manufacturer Senator has reported a decline in sales as turnover remained strong at over £200m.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023, total sales fell 5.7% to £202m from £214.3m in 2022.

UK sales fell 7.7% to £140.3m from £152.1m, while EU revenues fell slightly to £5.7m from £6.4m. Sales outside the EU increased 0.5% to £56m from £55.7m.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £12.8m, down from its profit of £16.6m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “2024 has started well and the directors remain confident of their strategy to continue to deliver long-term growth and profitability.

“2024 will see the opening of our new showrooms in Malaysia and Dubai.”
