The Cotswold Company, the digitally-led premium handcrafted furniture and homeware brand, is pleased to announce that its 10th UK store, located in Stamford, is now open.
Founded in 1996 in the heart of the Cotswolds, The Cotswold Company sells thoughtfully designed, carefully crafted premium furniture and accessories through a digital-led omni-channel model. Working in tandem with specialist manufacturers and employing traditional woodworking techniques, all products are built to last.
The new store, which is more than 4,000 square feet, showcases a variety of the brand’s furniture and is designed to provide design inspiration for every visitor. Customers can expect to see The Cotswold Company’s kitchen and dining ranges, bedroom and living, and accessories. In addition, via its Upholstery Hub, customers can browse a range of colour swatches and styles to match up colours and fabrics.
The new opening, which is strategically located in Stamford – The Cotswold Company’s first in the East Midlands – comes on the back of strong growth for the brand. In the six months to 31 August 2024, The Cotswold Company recorded a 15% increase in sales to £40.1m, significantly ahead of the home and furniture market. This was driven in part by a 39% increase in showroom sales, as The Cotswold Company’s geo-targeted digital marketing continues to go from strength to strength.
In the coming months, The Cotswold Company will continue to expand its retail footprint. This includes a new showroom in the North West, as well as several new openings over the next 12 months as the brand bolsters its omnichannel offer.
Ralph Tucker, Chief Executive Officer at the Cotswold Company, said: “Stamford is a fantastic store. It’s in a favourable location – one that opens up a new part of the country where consumers can get hands-on with the brand – and is the perfect showcase of our high-quality, made-to-last furniture.
“We’re really proud to reach the milestone of 10 UK showrooms. We’re on a really exciting journey at The Cotswold Company and have lots planned for the coming months – from new store openings to the launch of new ranges. This will help move more consumers away from throwaway furniture and cement The Cotswold Company’s position as one of the UK’s leading premium homeware brands.”
