Next acquires stake in online homeware brand

Online homeware, lifestyle and furnishings brand, Rockett St George, has sold a 16% stake in the company to retailer Next.

This strategic decision represents a pivotal moment in the growth of their partnership, which has already achieved “remarkable success” through their licensing agreement.

With this acquisition, Next will have a director on the Rockett St George board, fostering an even closer working relationship between the two brands.

The recent Rockett St George at Next home SS24 debut collection has proved successful, with standout products including the sell-out Kick Leg Candles, Naughty Corner Cushions, Leopard Print Side Plates and Green Palm Desert Lights. These pieces not only reflect Rockett St George’s signature style but also resonate with Next’s broader audience, showcasing the potential for future collections.

Jane Rockett and Lucy St George, co-founders and directors of Rockett St George, commented: “We are thrilled about our partnership with Next, which reflects our shared dedication to creativity and innovation.

“Together, we’re empowering customers to create spaces that truly express their personal style. By combining our passion for product design with Next’s extensive retail presence, this acquisition allows us to merge our unique design approach with their broad reach, offering even more distinctive and expressive items for your home and wardrobe. We couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come!”
