Homesense UK sales reach £280m

The UK division of retail group Homesense and TK Maxx has reported another growth in sales as profit remained strong.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 3 February 2024, total sales rose 3.6% to £4bn from £3.8bn in 2023.

Homesense sales increased 2.2% to £280.5m from £274.4m, while TK Maxx saw revenues remain flat at £2.5bn.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £120.7m, down when compared to its profit of £172.4m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the group said that like-for-like store sales rose 3% to £2.6bn, which is largely attributed to an increase in footfall.

“High levels of growth in the 2023 comparative were driven by temporary store closures in 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.”

One Homesense store was opened in the year, with the brand operating from 77 stores across the UK, with some co-located with TK Maxx.
