New look for Wiemann’s Long Eaton showroom

Wiemann’s trade showroom at Harrington Mill in Long Eaton has been refitted and redesigned with new products and a fresh, contemporary new look.

Not only has the showroom been fitted out with some of Wiemann’s latest and most popular bedroom ranges, but it has also been decorated and dressed to impress.

“We are lucky enough to have showroom space in this wonderfully evocative Victorian mill but it’s not so easy to give our corner of a larger area its own personality and sense of space,” says Simon Hewitt, md of Litmus Furniture, sole agents for Wiemann in the UK and Ireland.

Interior designers Design & Refine Interiors were called in to do just that and have succeeded in spades, choosing lighting and accessories that complement both Wiemann’s furniture and the building itself and redefining the space usage with a new layout, based on zones (e.g. bedroom, living, dining,) showcasing the Wiemann product and providing sitting and meeting facilities.

Says Design & Refine’s director Natalie Jahingiry: “We wanted to create an inviting showroom, allowing customers to visualise themselves inside it, while giving it a cosy look and feel.

“What struck us immediately was the beauty of the building – the industrial fittings, brickwork, oversized arched windows and high ceilings – and we used this as inspiration to develop a concept that really plays into these design features.”

The new showroom was unveiled to customers at the autumn Long Point exhibition – featuring the latest addition to the Wiemann range, New York, alongside popular models such as Denver, Lagos and Miami Plus – during which it received an emphatic thumbs up.  The showroom is open to trade visitors during spring and autumn Long Point shows and all year round on an appointment only basis.

“We are absolutely delighted with the new showroom,” says Wiemann’s export manager Kai Schwenke. “The new look brings out the best in our furniture and really demonstrates how even a small a showroom space can be elevated with well-chosen lighting and accessories.”
