Lighting supplier grows profit despite sales slip

Lighting supplier Poole Lighting has reported a decline in sales while profit increased.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023, total sales fell 3.4% to £56.7m from £58.7m in 2022.

UK sales were down 1.8% to £54.4m from £55.4m, while EU sales fell 30% to £2.3m from £3.3m.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £7m, up from £6.4m recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “2023 was a positive year and we were able to continue to supply our customers with their desired products on time and in full.”
