Office furniture manufacturer Steelcase has reported a decline in turnover.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 23 February 2024, total sales fell 18.1% to £28.4m from £34.7m in 2023.
UK sales fell to £26m from £31.1m, while EU revenues were also down at £2.3m compared to £3.5m year-on-year.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £1.9m, up from £1.8m recorded in the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said: “Overall business performance is expected to consolidate in the short term before steadily improving to pre-Covid levels over the mid-term. As the global market leader, we are well positioned to grow strongly as the market picks.”
