The Cotswold Company, the digitally-led premium handcrafted furniture and homeware brand, has reported a decline in sales but a return to profit.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 25 February 2024, total sales fell 4.3% to £82.4m from £86.2m in 2023.
EBITDA resulted at £2.8m, up from £2.1m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £250,000, up from its loss of £428,000 recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said: “The Board focussed on generating profitable sales and aligning the cost base to enable long term profitable growth. In this context, orders received increased by 1.4% to £80.5m and delivered orders decreased by 4.3% reflecting the unwind of reduced orders in 2023.
“This performance was inline with expectations. The performance of the business demonstrates the strength of the Company’s omni-channel model, its effective digital marketing, and continued investments in product and brand.”
