Yorkshire-based lighting and furniture supplier Pacific Lifestyle has announced the acquisition of TOBS, which takes immediate effect.

TOBS, formerly known as The Old Basket Supply Ltd., was founded by George Krygier in the 1980’s and originally sold baskets through the street markets in and around London.

It was incorporated in 1991 and latterly has been synonymous with supplying quality baskets and garden furniture to many retailers throughout the UK and Europe.

To facilitate George’s well earnt retirement, the TOBS brand (along with all its assets, product design rights and employees) will now be part of the Pacific portfolio.

“We are committed to maintaining the excellent reputation that TOBS enjoys within the industry, and look forward to providing its customers with the same friendly and professional service they would expect,” the company said.

“We are delighted to have acquired such a well-established brand along with their experienced personnel. Although our initial priority will be to maintain “business as usual” we have some very exciting development plans for the future,” added Nigel Lawrence, Sales Director at Pacific Lifestyle.
