Bespoke furniture business opens debut UK showroom

Bespoke furniture specialist BelCasa has announced the opening of its new showroom in Stockport.

Situated on Manchester Road, the new showroom officially opened on 15 January 2025 and marks the first UK presence for the brand, owned by Dzintra Suste.

She said: “I’m delighted to announce the opening our new showroom. It has taken us more than a year to get here but we’re delighted with the results and excited to show it off.

“We now have three floors of retail space, all set on a highly visible corner of Manchester Road in Stockport, where we can easily be seen by both motorists and passing shoppers. We have an eye-catching video display on the ground floor, together with selected furniture items and accessories.

“Upstairs, visitors can find many more furniture items, artworks and ornamental products, all laid out according to our original layout plan.

“For those who haven’t seen our site, the premises were previously used as a beauty salon and its layout didn’t really work as a showroom.

“Consequently, one of the first things I agreed to when we developed the new plan was to move the stairs and reception desk. This created more space, light and visibility on the ground floor.

“We’ve also installed new flooring and lighting, we’ve thoroughly redecorated, and we’ve created bespoke display areas to show the various products at their best.

“We’ve created themed zones, as per the original vision, and given each floor its own ‘mood’ and colour scheme.

“The other big task has been to bring in the initial stock. That has come from all over Europe. There are furniture items from Fascino, Domkapa and Laskasas but, for me, one of the most important challenges was to decide which products to use to represent those manufacturers’ capabilities and ranges.

“They each offer very extensive collections of really elegant furniture, so choosing ‘representative’ products certainly wasn’t easy. Nevertheless, the results look great in store.

“We’d like to thank all the customers and guests who attended and showed their support. It was also lovely to see people from the local business community calling in to offer their best wishes – it meant a lot.

“We were very pleased to get everyone’s feedback; the consensus seemed to be that they loved the showroom design, and we got some great comments about the furniture and other products.”
