UK sales and profit slip at office furniture maker

The UK division of Swiss office furniture manufacturer Vitra has reported a decline in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2024, total sales fell 23% to £16.1m from £20.9m in 2023.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £737,000, down from £961,000 recorded the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Turnover decreased by £4.7m due to market conditions. Operating profit decreased to 3.5% of turnover, from 4.0% in 2023, primarily stemmed from the reduction in turnover.”
