Components supplier expands UK team; sustainability progress

The UK division of German furniture components and fittings supplier Häfele has announced the appointment of Gemma McRae as its new chief sales officer – key accounts.

Gemma brings a wealth of experience and has held former roles at Travis Perkins and Benchmarx. She will lead Häfele’s key accounts strategy, working alongside existing chief strategy officer Gareth Bevan, who now focuses on trade and merchant sales.

Commenting on the appointment, Gemma said: “I’ve experienced first-hand the company’s outstanding people and culture, and I also understand what truly matters to end users.

“Häfele positions itself as a true extension of its customers’ operations. Through our service offering, product innovation, and advanced manufacturing capabilities, we’re perfectly placed to help our customers succeed in an ever-evolving market.”

Häfele has also recently announced that its assembled drawer bases are now FSC® certified under FSC-C023352.

“This marks the beginning of our transition to using FSC® certified boards across our entire assembled drawer range, supporting our customers who require sustainability as standard and aligning with our commitment to responsible sourcing,” the company said.

“This step reflects our ongoing promise to offer quality products with sustainability at their core.”
