Independent carpet retailer transitions to online only model

Independent carpet retailer Keith’s Discount Carpets has announced the closure of its shop as it transitions to a Shop At Home Service.

Situated on Oadby Road in Wigston, the business owner Keith Ball – who launched the company back in 1983, has retired upon the expiry of the lease at the site, which has been home to the shop since 1997.

The store closed for the final time on Saturday 31 May 2025, while the business has continued to operate via online only.

A statement said: “From 31st May 2025, we’ll be transitioning to a Full Shop At Home Service. Instead of visiting our store, customers can book an appointment for a home visit, where we’ll bring samples and provide a personalised quote.

“Our trusted fitters will remain the same, ensuring the same high standard of service you’ve come to expect.”
