Maxfurn confirms new distribution centre in Romania

Furniture supplier Maxfurn has announced plans for a new warehouse to be built and opened in Oradea, Romania.

The final contracts were signed three weeks ago, officially launching the construction project. Since then, notable progress has been made. The new distribution center is being built right next to the existing production halls.

With this expansion, Maxfurn not only underlines its ambitious growth strategy, but also the increasing demand for upholstered furniture within its product range. That’s why the new distribution centre will include a dedicated department for upholstered furniture. This initiative is fully aligned with the company’s strategic vision: gaining greater control over quality, lead times, and innovation.

The new upholstery hall offers the opportunity for dining chairs to be matched with our super sofas, which was released this past spring, received an excellent response from customers – a clear confirmation that the company is on the right track.

The expansion will significantly enhance Maxfurn’s logistics operations. With a storage capacity of 12,500 m² and eighteen loading docks, the company will be able to handle large volumes and serve both domestic and international customers faster and more efficiently. In addition, a state-of-the-art warehouse management system will be integrated to optimise all logistics processes. In doing so, Maxfurn is not only responding to current market demands but is also actively building a future-proof infrastructure to support continued growth.

The new distribution centre is expected to be fully operational by early 2026.

“The combination of a successful expansion in the UK plus Ireland and the realisation of our own distribution centre marks a new chapter in our development,” says the Maxfurn management team. “We are quite literally building our future – with confidence and vision.”
