A new independent furniture shop is preparing to open in Clacton.
FH Furniture, founded by Faith Hewitt, will open on Clacton High Street from 5 July 2025.
Faith has been busy refurbishing the store and said that her passion for furniture comes from the family.
“I previously owned a second-hand furniture store at the location, but I’ve decided to rebrand and focus on new furniture,” Faith said.
“I fell into it through my mum because she has a furniture shop and I just thought I would give it a try, with the aim to try and do better, so it’s a bit of a fun competition between us.
“The grand opening is the 5th of July. I currently have a competition going on my Instagram – @fh_furniture_ to win a £250 store voucher. I’ve completed most of the renovation myself and have been documenting the progress on my TikTok – @fh.furniture3.
“I just really want to help the community and the local regions as I know prices are insane alongside the cost of living.
“Furniture is something that is necessary but it can be quite expensive even just for the basic items. So, I do like to keep my prices as cheap as possible but also bear in mind, good quality.”
