Designer sofas and beds furniture business Darlings of Chelsea has announced the opening of its fourth showroom.

The new showroom is located in Hertford on Gascoyne Way and officially opened during June 2022.

The company said that since it’s opening the response has been ‘great’ with trading ‘going well’ with the new showroom adding to its existing three sites in Parsons Green, Birmingham and Surrey.

“Almost a year after announcing the expansion of our Parsons Green location, we’re are proud to introduce the latest addition to our growing collection of luxury showrooms,” Darlings of Chelsea said.

“The new Hertford location is just minutes away from the heart and soul of this small but vibrant market town steeped in rich heritage. With the East Hertford Railway Station within walking distance and plenty of on-site parking available, along with additional car parks located in and around the town centre, the store is easily accessible for those looking to discover what Darlings of Chelsea has to offer.”

Furthermore, Darlings of Chelsea has implemented Augmented Reality (AR) across every product on its website.

The process has taken the business two years to complete with the AR technology allowing customers to configure a product from 70 ranges of sofas and beds in 10 sizes, five feet colours and 170 fabric/leather choices.

“It took us two years because that’s over 30 million rendered images when you add our 360 degree spin functionality,” Darlings of Chelsea added. “Allowing customers to see the sofa or bed in their space (before buying) is also reducing our returns rate.”
