Manufacturer and supplier of handcrafted, modern-industrial style lights and furniture, Industville, has expanded its product range while investing in further sustainable practices.
Recently Industville CEO Mara Rypacek Miller sat down with the Deirdre Mc Gettrick, CEO of ufurnish.com, to discuss her growing business. Industville, which works collaboratively with a large team of craftsmen and artisans, has launched new ranges of lighting as well as branching out into other furnishing categories.
Mara Rypacek Miller, Industville’s Managing Director, said: “Over the years our factory and range has grown. Designing and developing new products in consultation with our production team, the options for innovative lighting really are endless. Recently we launched new ranges of lighting including geometric cube pendants, knurled lighting and opal glass.
“We are going to be branching out into more hard and soft furnishings, with a focus to expand on home accessories that will compete and hold that distinguished ‘industville’ look and quality.
“Some new ranges we are exploring to look out for are soft decor items such as rugs and furniture items such as hardware, stools and side tables; incorporating new even more sustainable materials like wood and bamboo.
“Although we will be expanding the range to new materials, we are dedicated to keeping that distinguished Industville style throughout.”
Another key element of consideration at the business is its sustainable credentials, as Mara continued: “We do put a lot of focus on being sustainable. A lot of work goes into sourcing 100% recycled metals and glass that go into making products, helping support a circular material economy.
“As a sustainable business we are aware of the fact there’s always more we can do, although we have very strong credentials already we work hard to make incremental improvements.
“We are working to ensure our supply chain eliminates plastic and all of our packaging is either paper based or biodegradable. As part of our commitment to quality and operational standard, we are participants of the WEEE recycling scheme and maintain our ISO 9001:2015 certification.”
