National beds and mattress retailer Bensons for Beds has announced the launch of its new gaming bed as well as one store opening and one closure.
Bensons for Beds has launched the Re-charge Gaming Bed, its first ever gaming bed designed with gamers in mind. Described as the “perfect complement of comfort and performance”, the Re-charge Gaming Bed is equipped with gaming features, a Sharp TV and immersive sound.
“Crafted with premium materials, the Gaming Bed is built to last,” Bensons said. “Finished with black woven fabric, with contrasting grey stitching or grey woven fabric with contrasting white stitching, this bed would add a touch of class and style to any sleep space.
“The speakers have a black grill and the headphone/remote control detachable hooks on the headboard are also black, giving classic gaming vibes. With a sprung-slatted base, for improved comfort and ventilation. This is not just a piece of furniture; it’s an investment in your gaming lifestyle.”
Bensons has opened a new store in Crawley, situated within the Carpetright store at Oak Retail Park on London Road.
The new location opened on 1 December, with the retailer celebrating the launch with a 10% discount offer on items purchased over the weekend. The new store has created five jobs for the local area and features a space of 2,486sqft.
Linda Wren, Bensons’ Crawley manager, said: “As a northern business we are really excited about extending our presence in Surrey.” The new store adds to other locations in the area including Redhill, Croydon, New Malden, Tunbridge Wells and Oppingdon.
Furthermore, Bensons is expected to close its store in Sittingbourne after plans emerged that nationwide gym chain PureGym will open at the unit on Sittingbourne Retail Park, which is currently occupied by the bed retailer.
It is understood that Bensons will close for the final time at the premises on 9 December 2023.
