Carpet and beds retailer set to close Altrincham store

Carpets and beds retailer United Carpets has confirmed plans to close its Altrincham store next month.

Situated at Altrincham Retail Park, the retailer has launched a clearance sale as it prepares to close the store due to ‘changes in the lease agreement’.

The closing date is yet to be confirmed as the business is continuing to trade as normal from the location. It also plans to relocate to a new site.

Paul Newton, Director of Retail Operations, said: “Unfortunately, due to some changes to the lease arrangement at Altrincham our store will be moving in October, however we’d like to reassure all customers that in the meantime the Altrincham store will continue to trade as normal and of course all orders customers place will be completed without any interruption.”
