Carpet retailer Mears Flooring has reported a growth in sales and profit.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 March 2024, total sales rose 18.5% to £13.7m from £11.5m in 2023.

Pre-tax profit resulted at £2.9m, up from £2.1m recorded in the previous year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “With improvements in gross margin and with the increased turnover, operating profit increased to £2.9m, an increase of over 30%.”
