Furniture import business Coach House has reported a growth in sales as turnover surpassed £60m.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2021, total sales rose 28.7% to £63.9m from £49.7m in 2020.
UK sales rose 29.7% to £55.8m from £43m, while EU sales were also up 13.2% to £6m from £5.3m. Outside the EU revenues grew 61.5% to £2.1m from £1.3m.
Gross profit increased from £18m to £24.7m, while pre-tax profit resulted at £14.3m, up 74.3% from £8.2m recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, Chairs Limited, trading as Coach House, said that gross profit margin increased from 36.4% to 38.6%.
The company added that it continued to maximise benefit from significant ongoing investment in both systems and employee training, through improved work practices, while also investing in reducing its carbon footprint by installing solar panels, which will reduce its energy use by around 40%.
