CPS Group appoints new Operations Director

CPS Group, a provider of high-quality print, branding, and signage solutions, has announced the appointment of Gareth Williams as Operations Director, bringing a wealth of expertise in manufacturing, process optimisation, and customer-centric operational strategy.

With an impressive 26-year career in the print industry, Gareth has held key leadership roles in major manufacturing firms, overseeing large-scale operations and driving transformative change. His hands-on approach to problem-solving, combined with his deep understanding of both commercial and manufacturing processes, makes him a valuable addition to the CPS Group team.

Gareth’s career began with a leading print company generating a turnover of £20 million, where he developed a keen interest in operational efficiency and quality management. He later progressed to the role of Operations Director at a major print firm, managing a workforce of nearly 150 employees and spearheading initiatives that improved production workflows, enhanced quality standards, and strengthened customer relationships. Notably, he played a pivotal role in leading his previous company to win the prestigious Welsh Manufacturing Company of the Year award, demonstrating excellence across all facets of operations, from health and safety to environmental sustainability.

Beyond print, Gareth has successfully applied his expertise to other sectors, most recently working with the UK’s largest furniture manufacturer. There, he led a major operational transformation that resulted in a remarkable 46% improvement in efficiencies. Now, he is eager to apply his skills and experience to CPS Group’s ambitious growth strategy.

As Operations Director, Gareth’s immediate priorities will be to refine quality control processes, optimise production efficiencies, and explore new growth opportunities by maximising the capabilities of existing machinery. He is particularly focused on fostering a culture of continuous improvement, empowering the CPS team to enhance their skill sets and drive innovation in manufacturing practices.

Commenting on his appointment, Gareth said: “CPS Group has a strong reputation in the industry, and I am excited to be part of a team that is so passionate about delivering excellence. My focus will be on improving efficiency without compromising quality, identifying new growth opportunities, and ensuring that we consistently exceed customer expectations. The company has experienced significant expansion in recent years, and I look forward to helping drive the next phase of its success.”

Simon Green, Managing Director of CPS Group, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Gareth to CPS Group. His extensive experience, strategic mindset, and ability to bridge the gap between manufacturing and customer needs align perfectly with our vision for the future. With Gareth on board, we are confident in our ability to strengthen our operations, enhance product quality, and continue our growth trajectory.”
