Danish furniture retailer JYSK has confirmed it is to close its store in Dewsbury.

The retailer said it has reached the end of its lease at the store located on Railway Street and will close for the final time on Sunday 15 December 2024.

JYSK added that it will continue to look for other potential sites in the Dewsbury area, not ruling out a return.

A statement said: “We have reached the end of our lease on the unit and have therefore executed our exit clause on the unit.

“Our development team will continue to look for new units within the Dewsbury area and if one becomes available to us, we will review as part of our continued expansion plans within the UK.”
