Danish homewares retailer opens third Yorkshire store

Danish homewares retailer Søstrene Grene has announced the opening of its new store in Wakefield.

Situated at the Trinity Walk Shopping Centre, the new store opened on Friday 20 September 2024 and becomes the brands third Yorkshire location, adding to stores in Sheffield and York.

To celebrate the Grand Opening, Søstrene Grene gifted the first one hundred customers with a voucher for a free large, tufted rug worth over £60 and a canvas tote bag filled with a selection of products.

Commenting the launch, Trinity Walk said: “Welcome to Søstrene Grene. Fab to see hundreds of people come down for the launch of this awesome store today.

“Explore and shop to relaxing music and grab everything from homeware and furniture to crafts and kids’ stuff. And soooo much more. There’s a reason why the queue was so big.”

UK Joint Venture Partner, Jonathan Cooper, who runs Søstrene Grene stores across the North of England added: “Trinity Walk is a great shopping destination and we can’t wait to introduce our brand to the local community.”

Other recent store openings over the past 12 months include London, Cheltenham, Kingston, High Wycombe and Bracknell, as well as in Liverpool, Tunbridge Wells, Glasgow and Leamington Spa.

Søstrene Grene has over 300 stores worldwide specialising in Scandi-inspired designs in a wide variety of homewares, soft furnishings and furniture. The brand aims to open 100 stores in the UK by 2030 and reach 500 stores globally by 2027.
