Demand remains uncertain at flooring firm

International designers, manufacturers and distributors of innovative flooring, Victoria PLC, is remaining cautious as demand uncertainty continues.

The group also noted that it expects a ‘robust recovery’ in market conditions due to a number of changing factors.

According to its latest update, delivered at its Annual General Meeting (AGM), Executive Chairman Geoff Wilding commented: “The Board believes that during Q1 the Group continued to outperform many competitors but notes that demand remains uncertain across most of the Group’s main markets.

“Consequently, as we noted in June alongside our FY 2024 results, we remain cautious about near-term trading conditions, whilst anticipating a robust recovery as wage growth catches up with recent consumer inflationary pressures, consumer confidence continues to improve, housing transactions increase, and interest rates fall.”
