Department store retailer to close one of its two stores

Department store retailer Daniel has confirmed plans to close its Ealing store.

Situated on Uxbridge Road, Daniel of Ealing has launched a closing down sale, bringing an end to its 120 years at the location.

The retailer said that its final day of trading will be on 8 June 2025 and its decision behind the closure is due to rising costs and a struggling retail market.

Daniel added that its online business and Windsor flagship store will remain open and unaffected by the Ealing store wind-down, while five employees will be impacted by the closure.

“We’re still going after 120 years and our store is still continuing trade in Windsor – it is the economic climate that is causing the problem,” the company said.
