DFS partners with inploi to enhance candidate experience

Upholstered furniture retailer DFS has partnered with candidate experience platform inploi to improve its recruitment process.

DFS has more than 4,000 employees, 100+ stores, and 1,500 roles advertised each year across its DFS, Sofology, and The Sofa Delivery Company retail brands.

As part of a larger initiative to improve DFS’ brand accessibility, the DFS Talent team recognised a critical challenge: in order to be WCAG compliant, it needed to ensure that every candidate, regardless of ability, could easily apply for roles.

In addition, like many enterprises with high-volume hiring needs, DFS needed to remove friction in its application process without compromising on brand or performance.

In partnership with accessiBe and Tribepad, DFS’ Applicant Tracking System, inploi introduced an accessibility widget onto DFS’ careers site, adapting it to individual applicant accessibility needs, including keyboard navigation, simplified layout, and screen reader compatibility.

“We’re not just filling roles; we’re looking at how we can make our candidate experience more accessible from the get-go,” says Stacey Williams, Group Senior Talent Acquisition Manager at DFS.

The rollout is now live across all DFS Group career sites: DFS, Sofology and The Sofa Delivery Company. With this enhancement, DFS hopes to create a more welcoming experience that encourages more candidates to share their accessibility needs confidently and also helping the team better understand and support the diverse talent applying across their brands.

“This isn’t just about compliance,” says Sandra Djokic, Head of Customer Success at inploi. “It’s about building trust, expanding opportunity, and making sure every interaction reflects your values as an employer.

“At inploi, we believe inclusive hiring should be designed in from the start, not added on later. With the support of their Disability Inclusion Council, DFS’s investment in inploi’s solution demonstrates their strong commitment to accessibility on their careers site, as well as in the workplace.”
