Family furnishings business D&R Furnishers has announced plans to relocate its Marlborough store just outside the town.

Currently situated on The Parade, the business, which has been established since 1985, is to open two new showrooms in the nearby village of Manton.

The first showroom will be based on Elm Tree Business Park in Manton and specialise in flooring and carpet, while also offering a designer fabric sample room too, with second also to be situated in Manton.

D&R Furnishers said the current premises will remain trading until the relocation has been completed, which is expected to be by September 2024.

“Each showroom will allow us customers to ‘shop local’ and discover leading furnishing and interior brands close to home,” the business said.
