Kitchens, bedrooms and home study fitted furniture manufacturer Roundel has reported a slight decline in sales as turnover remained over £30m.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 January 2024, total sales fell 1.3% to £36.1m from £36.6m in 2023.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £655,000, improving from £260,000 recorded the previous year.
Stated within its report, the company said: “The year represented a period of consolidation following significant growth in the prior year. The company has a significant order book for further growth. The timescales for delivery of this are subject to the market conditions which slowed significantly during the second half of the year.
“Gross profit improved to 28.4% (2023: 25.6%). This is a result of the ongoing investment in new infrastructure improving the company’s capabilities from both manufacturing and logistics perspectives. Raw material markets also continue to stabilise following recent years of volatility.”
