Classic Furniture, wholesalers and importers of timber cabinet furniture and chairs, has reported a growth in turnover as sales climbed towards £20m.
According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 30 September 2022, total sales rose 20% to £18m from £15m in 2021. Pre-tax profit resulted at £869,000, slightly down from £999,000 recorded the previous year.
UK sales were up 19.5% to £17.7m from £14.8m, while revenues elsewhere rose from £137,000 to £215,000.
Stated within its report, the company said: “Freight costs were mitigated throughout the period and have stabilised subsequent to the year end. The current lead times on overseas imports are regularly monitored to ensure demand is met with the company’s suppliers.”
