Furniture and homewares retailer Dunelm has announced plans to open a new store in Essex.
Situated at The Royals Shopping Centre in Southend, the new store will officially open on 24 June 2025 and follows years of interest for the location.
The new store will take over a former Primark shop that closed in 2020. Back in June 2022, Dunelm had planned to take over the premises but pulled out after switching its attention to other sites.
Earlier this year, Dunelm secured planning permission for new signage inside and outside the shopping centre, and also advertised jobs for the store and cafe.
The Royals Shopping Centre said: “The countdown is on, and we couldn’t be more excited. Dunelm is joining us at The Royals Shopping Centre on 24th June, and we’re buzzing to see the finishing touches coming together behind the scenes!
