Harvey Jones completes MBO

Kitchen furniture manufacturer Harvey Jones has completed a management buyout (MBO) for an undisclosed sum.

Browne Jacobson’s corporate dealmakers have advised Coniston Capital on its MBO of Harvey Jones, where the business has introduced Adrian Fawcett as non-executive chairman.

Fawcett has more than 20 years of experience in executive and non-executive roles, across multiple sectors, and previously chaired beds and mattress manufacturer, Silentnight Group.

Founded in 1986 in a Cambridgeshire workshop, Harvey Jones creates made to measure premium kitchens. The business operates across 28 kitchen showrooms throughout the UK and is led by Managing Director Darren Woolsgrove.

London headquartered Coniston Capital, which was set up in 2020, works with a broad portfolio of UK based SMEs, looking to facilitate change of ownership to management teams and further grow their business profile and operation.

The investment from Coniston Capital will provide Harvey Jones with an opportunity for accelerated growth. The transaction has also seen the appointment of Coniston Principal Josh Henshaw to the Harvey Jones board.
