Home improvement independent downsizes store number to one

Home improvement, furnishings and beds retailer Gardiner Haskins has announced the closure of its Cirencester store.

Situated on Dyer St, the retailer said that changing shopping habits and increased costs led to the decision to close, adding that its other store in Bristol continues to trade as normal.

A statement said: “With heavy hearts today we must announce the closure of our Cirencester store. Changing shopping habits and structural cost increases have combined to make the store unviable.

“Our focus now is on delivering an orderly closure looking after our loyal customers and providing full support to our staff.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank every person who has shopped with us, worked with us and supported us.

“Our Bristol showroom remains unaffected by this announcement and continues to trade successfully.”
