Home improvement retailer recalls injury-risk cabinet

Home improvement retailer B&Q has issued a product recall on a mirrored bathroom furniture cabinet due to risk of injury.

In a notice filed by the Office for Product Safety and Standards, a Cooke & Lewis Lesina Mirrored Bathroom Cabinet sold by B&Q presents a risk of cuts as the bonding of the glass to the door panel may fail.

The product, described as a white 600 x H500 bathroom cabinet featuring opening mirrored doors, was sold between January 2020 to February 2024. The product has been recalled from end users.

A statement said: “The product presents a risk of cuts as the bonding of the glass to the door panel may fail, leading to the mirror falling and potentially injuring bystanders.

“The product does not meet the requirements of the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.”
