Fashion and homewares retailer Oliver Bonas has earmarked a former HSBC bank as a new store location in West Bridgford.
The retailer has submitted a planning application to Rushcliffe Borough Council to change the use of the site at 22 Central Avenue from a financial services premises to a retail unit.
Oliver Bonas currently occupies a store on 1 Central Avenue, which it opened back in 2016, and is understood that the new store will replace the existing one. However, this has not been confirmed.
The planning application states: “The existing store (HSBC) is to be stripped out to allow for a refit for a new retailer. The First floor back of house/staff facilities will be retained with new life safety added. The ground floor interior walls are to be lined with all new decoration to interior walls and floors.
“External works include: making good of the existing shopfront facade, removal of the existing electric sliding door and replaced with a glazed double swing door, replacement of fascia and pilaster panels with a new flush rendered face with redecoration in brand colours. Works will also include the installation of a new non-illuminated hanging sign & new non-illuminated fascia signage.”
