Independent furnishings business to relocate to larger Leeds store

Independent furnishings business Northhome has announced plans to relocate to a larger store in Leeds.

Currently situated at the Victoria Gate shopping centre, the business has secured a new premises in the Victoria Quarter’s County Arcade, which is expected to open in October this year.

Northhome, which specialises in Nordic-themed furniture, soft furnishings and other homeware items, said the move will allow the brand to meet growing consumer demand and offer an enhanced customer experience.

The new store will trade across four floors with a retail space of over 4,000sqft, doubling the size from its former site.

Northhome, which first launched back in 2020 as a pop-up store, works with local producers including ceramicist Lee Simmonds, as well as interior brands such as Hkliving, House Doctor and 101 Copenhagen.

Commenting on the expansion, the company said: “The opening of our significantly larger showroom will mark a milestone moment for Northhome, which has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2020.

“With the support of Victoria Leeds, we have been able to consistently grow and develop our concept and are delighted to be continuing our journey at the destination with our elevated offering to customers.”
