The parent company of interior fit-out specialist Nuttall’s has reported a slight decline in profit and sales, although UK revenues increased.
According to the latest filed accounts for The Alan Nuttall Partnership, to the year ended 31 December 2023, total sales dipped 1% to £47.4m from £47.9m in 2022.
UK sales were up 6% to £35.2m from £33.2m, while export sales decreased 16.4% to £12.2m from £14.6m.
Pre-tax profit resulted at £3.2m, down compared to its profit of £3.8m recorded the previous year.
The group, which services include retail store fit outs with clients such as Amtico, Homebase and M&S under its Nuttall’s brand and heat display units through its Flexeserve brand, said that both businesses continued to build on their success achieved in the previous year.
Darren Emms, Finance Director, said: “Across the entire Partnership, 2023 was a key year for investing in our Partners, enhancing our facilities, and exploring new ways of working.
“Nuttall experienced a record year for profitability – the highest to date. 2023 was a successful year for business growth, raising financial performance and enabling the Partnership to meet its targets as an Employee Ownership Trust.”
