Irish furniture retail sales showed an annual and monthly growth during June in both volume and value.
According to the latest Retail Sales Index data from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) for June 2025, furniture and lighting sales saw an annual volume growth of 12.3%. On a monthly comparison, sales rose 0.9%.
The value of furniture and lighting retail sales rose 1.1% month-on-month as well as increasing by 10.9% on an annual basis.
Department stores saw annual volume rise 2.1%, while month-on-month increased 1.4%. As for the value, this rose 0.7% on a monthly basis, as well as up by 1.8% annually.
Overall, the monthly volume of Retail Sales was up by 0.6% in June 2025 and grew by 3% in the year when compared with June 2024. The value of Retail Sales rose by 0.5% in the month and up by 3.1% annually.
The proportion of Retail Sales transacted online (from Irish registered companies) was 5.2% in June 2025 and 4.9% in May 2025, compared with 4.9% in June 2024.
