Irish independent to move fully online; JYSK snaps up location

Danish furniture retailer JYSK has revealed plans to open a new store in Dublin.

Situated in Sallynoggin, the new store will take over the site currently occupied by M Kelly Interiors, which is to close at the end of August.

JYSK will move into the space from 1 October 2025 and forms part of its continued expansion across Ireland.

The retailer is set to open an additional five stores this autumn in locations such as Swords, Blanchardstown and Tallaght, doubling its footprint in Dublin over the next three months.

As for M Kelly Interiors, the business is currently running a closing down sale as it prepares to transition to a fully online-only model.

“This isn’t goodbye. Our new website is launching very soon, bringing you huge discounts and the best suppliers from Ireland and around the world,” M Kelly Interiors said.
