John Lewis refreshes Home offer at Oxford Street store

Department store retailer John Lewis has unveiled the latest phase of its multi-million pound store makeover plans.

Its flagship John Lewis store on Oxford Street, as well as stores in High Wycombe and Cheadle, are the first to benefit from significant investment within its beauty division, while Oxford Street has had significant improvements to all corners of its six floors including home, tech, jewellery, large electricals, and more.

With a focus on Oxford Street, the culmination of a £6.5m upgrade celebrates its 160 year anniversary and incorporates new brands within its Home section.

These include Ruggable and Next-owned MADE.com. Meanwhile, existing brands have been elevated, with “room sets featuring strongly alongside better navigation and style segmentation”, the retailer said.

MADE will also later launch on John Lewis’ website and its concessions will be rolled out to more of its stores. Furthermore, John Lewis is to launch a new concession with West Elm from November.

Executive Director for John Lewis, Peter Ruis said: “The buzz is back in John Lewis and we’re giving our customers even more reasons to shop in our brilliant stores. We’re backing ourselves with significant investment to ensure customers get the exceptional quality, outstanding service, and competitive prices they love about our unique brand.”
