Kitchen furniture supplier Dennis & Robinson Limited, trading as Paula Rosa Manhattan, has reported a decline in sales as losses widened.

According to its latest filed accounts for the year ended 31 December 2023, total sales fell 12% to £24.5m from £31.3m in 2022.

Pre-tax losses widened from £4.1m to a loss of £5.1m year-on-year.

Stated within its report, the company said: “Although the business was severely impacted in the year by the downturn in the UK Housebuild market which declined c.30-35% year on year, measures implemented to protect the top line and grow margin ensured the impact felt was smaller than that of the general market.

“Social Housing revenue grew substantially following the strengthening of the social team in the previous year and the business saw the total closing order book grow by 13% as a result of investment in the year in the sales team.”
