German kitchen retailer, Kutchenhaus, is celebrating 20 years of operation this year.
Founded in 2004, the brand was born out of a collaboration between esteemed UK kitchen professionals and parent company, nobilia, which saw the opening of its very first showroom in Urmston, Manchester.
Since, Kutchenhaus has changed greatly as a business, moving to a franchise model, honing and innovating its offering to create bespoke, German kitchens, which customers love, whilst also developing its personnel.
With the UK kitchen industry transforming significantly since the early 2000s, the brand has adapted and progressed to produce forward-thinking solutions which range from the latest kitchen styles to bathrooms and home furniture for modern living.
Headquartered in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, the brand sells direct to its customers through a network of over 75 showrooms across the UK, which has grown significantly in recent years.
To mark this year’s anniversary, Kutchenhaus recently brought its franchise partners together for a conference in the Algarve, Portugal.
Taking place between June 3rd — 5th in Almancil, Portugal, the trip welcomed franchise partners, alongside parent brand nobilia and representatives from the central team, to celebrate and say thank you for their collective hard work.
The event saw the Kutchenhaus team speak about the brand’s 20-year journey and achievements, whilst also outlining plans for the future and how it will continue to support its franchise network on the growth of their businesses.

Barry Reed, IT Manager, and James Harley, Customer Service and Logistics Manager, have both been with the business since its first years of operation.
On 20 years of Kutchenhaus, Barry commented: “The change has been incredible, and it’s great to see how we’ve grown massively since our beginning. It’s a completely different proposition now, and this is for the better, as the trajectory is upward. To make this happen, everyone is willing to help each other out, and that’s why people love working here.”
James added: “The company still retains its family feel — we’ve grown and not lost our brand identity, and this is important. The spark we had when we first started with minimal people is absolutely still seen today. We have a vision and we’re going to deliver on our growth ambitions — this is thanks to a dedicated team and a fantastic franchise partner network.”
As Kutchenhaus looks to the future, it remains committed to growing its network of talented franchise partners, whilst supporting those who are part of its family.
The brand will continue to create kitchens that are skilfully engineered and beautifully designed, with its finger on the pulse in terms of innovation and sustainability.
