Leekes raises over £20k through Golf and Spa Day

Leekes, the family-owned retailer based in South Wales has announced that its annual Golf and Spa Day held at the award winning, 4-star hotel The Vale Resort has once again been a resounding success, raising an impressive £20,100 for the NSPCC.

This sold-out event, held on Thursday, 27th June, brought together Leekes suppliers and supporters for a day of golf or a relaxing spa treat all in the name of charity.

With favourable weather adding to the enjoyment, attendees experienced the best of what this popular event has to offer. The evening festivities included a delightful gin cocktail reception, courtesy of Hensol Castle Distillery, followed by a delicious meal. The excitement continued with a raffle and a charity auction, featuring a range of incredible prizes such as a champagne river cruise, luxury hotel stays, gin-making experiences, high-quality mattresses, and more.

Leekes is proud to report that this year’s event has set a new fundraising record, surpassing all previous years. The combined efforts and generosity of everyone involved resulted in a total of £20,100, all in support of the NSPCC’s vital work in Wales.
The winners of the golf event were taken by the team from Captivate Brands, who took home the top honours for a second time.

Leekes extends its grateful thanks to all the participants who made this event possible. Emma Leeke, Managing Director of Leekes Retail, and board member of NSPCC Cymru said: “Yet again our suppliers and friends came out in numbers to support our day and demonstrated enormous generosity.

“I would like to thank them and the teams at and the Vale Resort for all their help in making it such a fabulous day raising such a significant sum of money for the NSPCC. We eagerly anticipate next year’s event and look forward to welcoming everyone once again for another day of fun, relaxation, and charitable giving.”
