Premium British furniture brand Loaf is expanding its London presence with its eleventh Shack (its take on a showroom) in Islington, London.
Set to open on 17 July 2025, the launch comes after the successful opening of its Chiswick Shack last Summer, and follows the recent closure of Loaf’s Spitalfields Shack, as the brand relocates to a larger site to better serve its growing customer base.
Situated on Essex Road, just a five-minute walk from Angel tube station, the 4,100 sq ft high-street store has been designed by Loaf’s in-house team in collaboration with design studio, Studio Jill.
Following their work on Loaf’s recent Chiswick opening, Studio Jill continues to play a key role in elevating the look, feel and overall experience, while staying true to Loaf’s unique character.
With plenty of Loaf’s signature snooze-inducing sofas and beds, hand-woven rugs, lights, tables and more, Loaf encourage customers to come by and ‘rest-test’ its pieces, chat to comfort experts and make themselves at home.
Their Islington Shack is also home to their first ever Movie Lounge, complete with free popcorn, film screenings all-day, and possibly the comfiest cinema seats in the world. Naps optional.
What’s more, the Shack will house many family-friendly additions, such as a colouring-in station to keep little Loafers entertained, and free choc ices for a nostalgic summer treat. Plus, dogs are welcome and can rest-drive Loaf’s Woofins dog beds, whilst munching on a treat or two.
Loaf’s CEO, Sam Perkins, says: “Opening in Islington marks another exciting step in our London expansion. We’re continuing to grow our presence across the city, making it easier for people to experience what we’re all about- laid-back comfort, thoughtful design, and a space to properly unwind. We look forward to welcoming you soon!”
