Swiss modular furniture brand USM has announced the opening of a new flagship store in Marylebone, London, relocating from its former Clerkenwell hub.
Located in one of London’s most design-forward neighbourhoods, the new Marylebone store offers an immersive journey through the possibilities of modular living. The two-storey space reflects the modularity and sustainability that define USM furniture.
The space showcases how USM modular furniture can be tailored to suit a wide range of residential environments, from compact apartments to expansive homes.

Each room setting demonstrates the brand’s signature blend of timeless design, engineering precision, and sustainable materials – making it a standout choice for those seeking customisable home furniture that evolves with their lifestyle.
“Visitors are welcomed by a low credenza – an ideal hallway piece for stylish shoe storage,” USM said. “The journey continues through a beautifully arranged kitchen area, where a floor-to-ceiling unit elegantly displays glassware and essentials. A standout feature is the World of Plants for USM Haller, which integrates greenery into the design using herbs for both decoration and culinary use.
“In the living room, a home cinema setup – developed in collaboration with Leica – features a high-performance projector discreetly built into USM furniture. Nearby, a sculptural display unit showcases the work of artist Abid Javed, with plans for a rotating exhibition of contemporary artists throughout the year.

“Descending to the lower ground floor, visitors discover a sophisticated bar and display unit that opens into a listening lounge. A sleek media console houses a curated vinyl collection, while a serene bedroom setting illustrates the adaptability of USM modular wardrobes. The basement also includes a dedicated office space and training area, rounding out the store’s immersive experience.”
The store concept, designed by creative studio ForEveryday.Life, incorporates the 350x350mm Haller grid to define zones and levels. This architectural approach mirrors the modularity of the furniture itself, creating a space that is adaptable, versatile, and scalable – just like the USM systems it showcases.
“The relocation from Clerkenwell – a hub of workplace design – to this elegant two-storey space in Marylebone reflects the evolving vision of USM,” the company added. “As demand grows for high-quality, sustainable, and design-driven furniture in the residential market, USM modular systems offer seamless solutions for modern living.”
